UNIVERSITY SOUND MM-2 SUBMERGENCE PROOF SHIPBOARD SPEAKER

The Electro Voice MM2 series air speakers (MM2, MM2F, MM2TC) are designed for use on ships and emergency vehicles for intercom and voice paging applications. Since they have 25 watt rating, they are not for use as a siren speaker for 100W or 200W electronic sirens. The MM2 series has a submergence proof design (U.S. Navy spec), not damaged by water, live steam or mist (not for use as an underwater speaker). The MM2 series includes three models: the MM2, MM2F, and MM2TC. The MM2 comes with a serrated mounting bracket allowing unit to swivel through a 90 degree vertical arc when mounted on walls, ceilings, vehicle roofs, etc. The MM2F has a mounting flange allowing unit to be mounted in a 6.625" circular cutout. The MM2TC has an integrated transformer housing allowing installation of optional 25V/70V transformer (part no. 5030) for remote locations requiring long cable runs. The MM2 series is ideal for wet above water locations including docks, bridges, boiler rooms, railroads, fire trucks, and ships. These units are fully protected against damage by high humidity, salt water, and many other environmental conditions. The fungicide-treated, plastic-impregnated diaphragm is easily accessible for cleaning. The MM-2 series are useable as warning speakers, yet have sufficiently wide range response for excellent voice reproduction in paging applications.

Lubell M-10 & M-10-P Bone Vibrator

The M-10 and M-10-P transducers are bone vibrators that operates in the speech frequency range. The transducer can be used as either an output transducer, converting an electrical input to vibratory force or sound pressure, or as an input transducer, converting sound pressure or vibratory force to electrical energy. In the bone vibrator mode, the unit is placed against the users head and audio information is transferred directly to the inner ear without the need for a conducting medium. Conversely as an input transducer, the unit functions as a microphone picking up air-borne or vibratory energy. The M-10 is as pictured with 3" leads. The M-10-P has 10' shielded RG 174/U cable epoxy sealed into case, and urethane potting for increased water and fluid resistance. Standard impedance is 10 ohms, custom impedance available.

The LL98 is a 64 ohm piezoelectric underwater speaker designed for integration with OEM sound system by manufacturer. Requires 16 ohm power resistor (50 watts) in series with white speaker lead inside of amplifier. Also requires transformer isolation for safety and impedance matching. Because of higher impedance, cable lengths up to 4 km are possible with minimal losses.

TOA CA-160 PA Amplifier

TOA CA160 12 VOLT 60 WATT PA AMPLIFIER

The CA-160 mobile PA amplifier is ideal for remote applications requiring a compact and powerful mixer/amplifier for public address or emergency paging. This unit is powered with a standard 12 Volt DC battery and operates into four or eight ohm underwater speaker loads. The "8 ohm and common" terminals may be connected to the UW30 or LL916C-T1 underwater speakers. The "4 ohm and common" terminals may be connected to the AQ339 underwater speaker (though this unit will not reproduce frequencies lower than 100Hz). Units include two microphone inputs with individual volume controls, a handheld microphone with talk switch, and an auxiliary input for connecting an external CD player, radio, tape deck or tone generator. All mounting hardware is included for easy installation under dashboard or into a standard console cutout.
