The Electro Voice MM2 series air speakers (MM2, MM2F, MM2TC) are designed for use on ships and emergency vehicles for intercom and voice paging applications. Since they have 25 watt rating, they are not for use as a siren speaker for 100W or 200W electronic sirens. The MM2 series has a submergence proof design (U.S. Navy spec), not damaged by water, live steam or mist (not for use as an underwater speaker). The MM2 series includes three models: the MM2, MM2F, and MM2TC. The MM2 comes with a serrated mounting bracket allowing unit to swivel through a 90 degree vertical arc when mounted on walls, ceilings, vehicle roofs, etc. The MM2F has a mounting flange allowing unit to be mounted in a 6.625" circular cutout. The MM2TC has an integrated transformer housing allowing installation of optional 25V/70V transformer (5030 @ $45) for remote locations requiring long cable runs. The MM2 series is ideal for wet above water locations including docks, bridges, boiler rooms, railroads, fire trucks, and ships. These units are fully protected against damage by high humidity, salt water, and many other environmental conditions. The fungicide-treated, plastic-impregnated diaphragm is easily accessible for cleaning. The MM-2 series are useable as warning speakers, yet have sufficiently wide range response for excellent voice reproduction in paging applications.
